According to a report published Wednesday April 11 by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) the humanitarian situation in Iraq is deteriorating daily. Among this critical humanitarian situation a group of professionals, some 5000 journalists and their families live a specific tragedy that of being the first to confront the line of fire and the first to die among journalists covering the Iraqi situation. This has made of the Iraqi tally of media victims the first in the world since the Iraqi war in March 2003. The Press Emblem Campaign (PEC) and the Swiss Press Club invite you to a testimony of Iraqi journalists and family members who have lost their fathers or mothers (journalists) in the war. The conference will be introduced by Hedayat Abdel Nabi, President of Press Emblem Campaign.
