The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Coordinator to the United Nations will act as the focal point between the United Nations and the KRG. The United Nations Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) has welcomed this initiative as progressive and the best way to systemize the new relationship between the UN and Kurdish authorities as well as help coordinate UN programmes implementation in the Kurdish region.The KRG is now working closely with United Nations Agencies and international organizations based in the north to achieve the best for the region.
